Great to see that they're doing so well,
and that they care enough about me to make sure
 I get plenty of exercise right up 'til Turkey Day.

Which beautiful blue is for you?

The gray stuff above is the snow.  I have yet to figure out how to capture the look of snow in a way that conveys the true visual quality.  So since this photo defines one of my limits, let me try to augment it with words.

The gray-looking snow is white.  Bright white.  Because the surface is not completely regular, there are darker shadows that make one appreciate the whiteness even more.  The little specs of brightness you see are highlights that are either whiter than white or very bright white with tinges of refracted color.  

Now look at the foot trail through the snow in the sunward looking shot below, and multiply the bright little specs by the number of dollars in the national debt.  Move your gaze across the snow and drink them all in.  

If this is something your imagination allows, you begin to understand the beauty of a sunlit snow scene.
