Autumn comes early in the Adirondacks |
But some flowers hang on |
We were planning on paddling, but it got dark.
Clouds moved in |
But the sun came up again. Another miracle. |
A good day for paddling. |
You have to work hard to keep up with Mary. |
Can you tell which one is called Camelhump? |
Kane Mountain |
The osprey looking for fish |
The osprey a bit closer |
Mama Merganser |
Mom and the kids |
It would be a really good idea to get south before duck hunting season begins. |
The wind blew up some chop on West Lake, just past Dolgeville point. |
The chop didn't bother baby loon's fishing |
Paddling up the southwest inlet of Canada Lake |
Nice view of Kane Mountain while paddling out of the inlet |
Look for the fire tower on top. |
I think the kingfisher was happy to see us go. |
Gorgeous Fall!

.... very good photos of the Adirondax, Randy. i feel sorry for all the pioneers / adventurers back in the day 'cuz they didn't have digital cameras to capture the beauty of our wilderness. Great job of photographing & great variety of scenes ( macro & micro types ) ..... glad u noticed the beauty in the close-up details, like the late-season blossoms.
