Adirondack Autumn

Autumn comes early in the Adirondacks

But some flowers hang on

We were planning on paddling, but it got dark.

Clouds moved in

But the sun came up again.  Another miracle.

A good day for paddling.

You have to work hard to keep up with Mary.

Can you tell which one is called Camelhump?

It would be a really good idea to get south before duck hunting season begins.

The wind blew up some chop on West Lake, just past Dolgeville point.

The chop didn't bother baby loon's fishing

Paddling up the southwest inlet of Canada Lake

Nice view of Kane Mountain while paddling out of the inlet

Look for the fire tower on top.

I think the kingfisher was happy to see us go.

  2. .... very good photos of the Adirondax, Randy. i feel sorry for all the pioneers / adventurers back in the day 'cuz they didn't have digital cameras to capture the beauty of our wilderness. Great job of photographing & great variety of scenes ( macro & micro types ) ..... glad u noticed the beauty in the close-up details, like the late-season blossoms.
